teachers of new charters

our school is in the process of applying for a charter in California. I am confused about teachers being supported by CTA. Is there a separate unit of CTA that deals with charter teachers? Within our new school, how do we receive representation if we are to be an independent charter? Thanks for any information you can give me. Jill McCrory Ventura County, CA

Jill,

Teachers in charter schools can be represented by CTA.  CTA has four organizers dedicated to supporting charter teachers who wish to organize local associations.  If you want to organize a local association please contact me and I will assist.
